Everything you need to know about Trailerprof

TrailerProf  is a writer, scholar and educator.  After earning his masters & doctorate in English Literature (19th Century British) from the University of California, Santa Barbara, TrailerProf left academia for a career as an advertising, marketing and public-relations copywriter within the entertainment industry, while continuing to teach the occasional course in composition and literature at universities in Southern California.

In 2006, he researched, wrote and co-produced the first feature documentary on audio-visual movie advertising for the Andrew J. Kuehn, Jr., Foundation, in cooperation with the UCLA Archive and the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences.   In 2009, he road-tested a course on Movie Trailers through UCLA Extension, before taking it the UCLA’s Department of Theater, Film and Television, where he currently teaches a graduated seminar on movie marketing as a Visiting Assistant Professor.\

TrailerProf has lectured on Trailers and Contemporary Movie Marketing at Pasadena’s ART CENTER School of Design, and will be speaking at NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts in Fall of 2011, as part of its Cinema Series Lectures.
